Kittens, Kittens, Kittens!

Wow, did life get busy in the last few months! Sorry for no update. Here's a quick recap of kittens!

Björk gave birth to four healthy babies in the in the late, late evening of April 1st. I was off housesitting again, but even my bestie, who's room is right next to the room where Björk was giving birth, didn't hear her. Björk was such a good mama! At just over a month, she was done. The kittens were already eating solid food, so she went back to the shelter and got adopted by, and I quote the staff, "the sweetest couple!"

The babies grew fast and strong. They're all cuddly and playful and sang like their mother. They all got singer names. After two + months, they went on their first adventure outside of the house yesterday. I hope they get adopted soon!

Presenting Björk the cat!

We have a new foster! She's about 1 year old and pregnant. She likes to sing and is as sweet as can be.
While we don't have a definite due date, I will hazard a guess... From the swell of her belly, the enlargement & redness of her nipples, the fact that she's eating well (no "morning sickness"), and the fact that I can feel them moving when I lay my hand against her, I think she's about 5 or 6 weeks along. But she's a petite girl so it's hard to tell. She might be further along with a small litter or not very far along with a larger litter.
Surprises are fun, right?

New Year, New Plan!

Happy New Year!

Foster kitten Moxie Mayhem

The last few months of 2015 got a little crazy but in a good way. I got a new job with a different library where I get to work with Teens. Since it's part-time, I still get to work at one of my other libraries, which I love. I also walk dogs and do cat care on occasion and, of course, foster kittens. My new plan for this year is to take a bit of time off, then get back to posting more consistently.
